Alabama HOF Awards

Promoter Tony Ruffino, Blind Boys of Alabama and the Ojays’ Eddie Levert will be among the honorees at the Alabama Music Hall Of Fame ceremony March 25.

The Blind Boys and Levert along with Buddy Buie, Jerry Carrigan, Paul Hornsby, the late Terry Thompson, and State Sen. Bobby Denton will be inducted during the event at the Montgomery Convention Center, according to the Birmingham News.

Ruffino, a longtime promoter and former co-owner of New Era Promotions, will be presented with the Sam Phillips innovator award.

Other honorees include original MTV VJ Alan Hunter, singers Mac Davis and Jamey Johnson, singer-songwriter Mac McAnally and Integrity Inc. CEO Michael Coleman, the paper said.
