Apparently someone in the Strait/McEntire camp keeps an eye on the Weather Channel. With forecasters in Knoxville, Tenn., predicting 6 inches of snow or more and meteorologists in Charlottesville, Va., calling for twice that amount, it was decided it was in everyone’s best interest to err on the side of caution.

“Due to our concern for the safety of our fans and crew, we are rescheduling shows this weekend,” Strait said in a message to fans. “We regret the change but it’s best to take all the necessary precautions.”

Friday night’s show at Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville has been moved to April 2 and Saturday night’s show at JPJ Arena in Charlottesville will now take place April 3.
