Heritage Park Shed Under New Management

The 16,000-capacity Heritage Park Amphitheatre in Simpsonville, S.C., has a new facility manager.

City leaders recently picked Greenville Arena District Public Facilities Management Corp. to run the shed, which opened in 2007.

The management company is also associated with Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, and GM Roger Newton has said the venues would split acts on an event-by-event basis.

The Greenville Arena District has a management contract with facility manager Centerplate to operate the Bi-Lo Center, according to a venue spokeswoman, and the staff of the arena will be assisting the new corporation with booking and day-of-show activities at the amphitheatre.

Heritage Park Amphitheatre was previously managed by SMG, whose contract expired in July.
