Time To Say Uncle

Life is good for Uncle Kracker. He has a hit single, a popular video and now a headlining tour beginning March 11.

Uncle Kracker’s latest single – “Smile” – from his Happy Hour album is enjoying airplay across several radio formats, including country and CHR / Pop.

The video for “Smile” is also doing pretty good, claiming a spot in VH1’s rotation as well as constantly ending up in the cable music channel’s Top 20 Countdown program.

Uncle Kracker is also enjoying a bit of ringtone wealth as the cell phone snippet from “Smile” landed on Nielsen RingScan’s radar as a top-20 seller.

Uncle Kracker will be out on the road during March and the first two weeks of April before rejoining with his old friend Kid Rock for the Kid’s “Chillin’ The Most Cruise” sailing out of Tampa April 9. The first three dates are home-state affairs for the Michigan man, starting in Flint at The Machine Shop March 12; followed by a gig in Grand Rapids at the Intersection March 12 and a trip up the state’s western side to Traverse City and a show at Ground Zero.

Other shows slotted for the tour include Cleveland at Peabody’s Downunder March 14; Des Moines at People’s Court March 18; Madison, Wis., at Majestic Theatre March 22; New Haven, Conn., at Toad’s Place March 30 and Baltimore at Recher Theatre April 4. Last date on the schedule is April 10 in Lynchburg, Va., at Cattle Annie’s.
