Wilson Goes Back To the Bars

Country belter Gretchen Wilson’s upcoming tour is a homecoming of sorts for the singer as she plays intimate venues while showcasing her new album.

Described as a “hear it before you can buy it” opportunity for fans, Wilson and her band will be presenting songs from her fourth studio album – I Got Your Country Right Here – which lands in stores March 30.

The tour begins this Wednesday Feb. 10 in Jacksonville, Fla., at Mavericks followed by the “redneck woman” going to Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., where she’ll play The Block Feb. 11. Other stops include Grand Rapids, Mich., at The Intersection Feb. 18; Indianapolis at the 8 Seconds Saloon Feb. 19; The Grove of Anaheim March 10; Las Vegas at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country March 11 and Houston at The Hideout March 15.

Last stop on the tour is Virginia Beach at Knuckleheads March 20.

“This is where I started,” Wilson said about her upcoming club tour. “There’s nothing like the immediate feedback you get from the fans when they’re just a few feet away.”
