Dion Going Back To Vegas

Celine Dion returns to Las Vegas with an all-new production scheduled to begin in March 2011.

Dion’s Las Vegas three-year engagement begins March 15, 2011 at the Colosseum At Caesars Palace, the theatre that was constructed for her original Vegas residency.

Caesars Palace rolls out A New Day, starring Celine Dion in Las Vegas.

Produced by AEG Live / Concerts West, the brand-new show features 31 musicians, consisting of a full orchestra and band. According to today’s announcement, the show’s concept will be about “capturing the romance of classic Hollywood movies” coupled with “a stunning visual presentation.”

“I’m coming back home to the Colosseum At Caesars Palace and I’m very excited about it,” Dion said.

“With the orchestra and the band we’re going to be able to perform our songs like never before. The repertoire is going to be extraordinary… a mix of timeless Hollywood classics, along with all the favorites that my fans like to hear me sing. It’s going to be a very beautiful show, and I think we’ll be raising the bar higher than we’ve ever done before. There’ll be some truly wonderful moments. I can’t wait!”

Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, talked about the new shows while speaking with Canada’s QMI (Quebec Media Inc.) Agency, according to the Toronto Sun, saying the singer will once gain work with Ken Ehrlich, whose most recent extravaganza was last week’s Grammy Awards show.

“This second show in Las Vegas will be as amazing as the first adventure, with A New Day,” Angelil said.
