Toby Keith’s 2009 tour with special guest Trace Adkins was such a success at home and abroad that the singer was faced with a dilemma – how to top it. So he decided the best thing to do was not to try.
Keith and Adkins, who was recently signed to the newly merged Show Dog-Universal Music label, will hit the road again beginning June 19 in Holmdel, N.J., for the “American Ride Tour.”
While no venues have been officially announced, the trek already includes 39 dates in cities across the country that run though late September. It’s a safe bet fans can expect to see more added.
Keith’s latest single, “Cryin’ For Me (Wayman’s Song), just climbed to the top of the charts, earning the singer the 28th No. 1 of his career.
Adkins’s first project for Keith’s Show Dog-Universal imprint will be a new single and album that are expected to be unveiled soon.
