Norway’s Kings Send Regrets
Kings of Convenience, “Norway’s answer to Simon and Garfunkel” according to the New York Times, have been forced to delay a run of U.S. dates due to kick off tonight in Philadelphia.
The folk-pop duo of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe issued a message to fans this morning citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the cause for the postponement.
The band’s U.S. tour will now launch June 1 and run through June 10. Tickets for the original shows will be honored for the new ones.
To soften the blow to disappointed fans, KOC are offering current ticket-holders the chance to download an exclusive track for free via their local promoter.
The song, “Love Is No Big Truth,” was recorded for Italian radio and is a preview of the KOC’s forthcoming iTunes EP Live Acoustic Sessions: Milan, due Feb. 23.
