It’s not clear whether the strategy is to ease back into things or if guests are a tad skittish about being seen as too eager to accept an invite to Leno’s revived party, but so far the roster isn’t filled with big guns.

Opening night (March 1) guests include Jamie Foxx, Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn and Brad Paisley.

The following night, Alaskan-governor-turned-Fox-talking-head Sarah Palin will grace Jay’s couch, along with Olympic gold medal snowboarder Sean White.

March 3 is a little more high-wattage, thanks to an appearance by Chelsea Handler, the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and Olympic speed skater Apolo Ohno.

Also on tap for the first two weeks are Matthew McConaughey, Jason Reitman, Morgan Freeman, Simon Cowell, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Kristen Stewart, Dana Carvey and Judd Apatow.

One quick side note: When Jennifer Lopez hosts “Saturday Night Live” this coming weekend, she won’t be plugging a new album.

Entertainment Weekly reports that J. Lo and her label, Sony, have parted company and quotes a source that says LOVE?, the album that was supposed to hit the streets in April, was never even finished.

Apparently “Louboutins” and “Fresh Out the Oven,” the god-awful pair of singles Lopez dropped over the past couple of months, finished out her contract with Sony.

Maybe George Lopez will hire her so he can change the title of his talk show to “Lopezes Tonight”?
