You gotta admit it’s a great name for a festival on the Gulf coast. Who wouldn’t want to spend three days hanging on the beach soaking up the sun and basking in the music?

And there will be plenty of choices on what is shaping up to be one of the newest events in the music festival biz. Along with the aforementioned artists the festival has also booked Gov’t Mule, Ray LaMontagne, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Funky Meters, Blind Boys of Alabama, Matisyahu, Girl Talk, Guster, Brett Dennen, Keller Williams, Jerry Jeff Walker and more. Lots more.

Expecting up to 35,000 people per day, Hangout will feature two main stages plus four additional stages. Available accommodations for the three-day adventure range from local hotels and beachfront condos to camping at the local state park.
