First up, NPR Music will begin streaming the entire album March 1 as part of the “Exclusive First Listen” series at NPR.org/music.

Then, on March 2, YouTube will premiere the video for “Stylo,” the first single from March 9 release Plastic Beach.

The clip follows the perilous adventures of Gorillaz “bass demigod” Murdoc Niccals as he and guitarist Cyborg Noodle and vocalist 2D take a sojourn from their new home on Plastic Beach and end up pursued by a policeman and an unknown assailant.

“Someone was chasing me through the desert!” Murdoc explained. “Luckily I had my camera crew following me and they captured it all on film, so I’ve cut it up and stuck it back together for my ‘Stylo’ video! That’ll learn me not to leave the safe, toxic isolated haven of Plastic Beach…”

Fans can explore the band’s new complex at Point Nemo, Plastic Beach at the newly re-vamped Gorillaz.com.

On April 18, Gorillaz will headline the final day of this year’s Coachella festival in Indio, Calif., the band’s first live Stateside appearance since a five-night sold-out run at Harlem’s Apollo Theater in 2006.
