Bluesfest’s ‘Best Lineup’ Yet

Peter Noble, director of Byron Bay’s Bluesfest in Australia, says the event’s 21st anniversary (April 1-5) “is certainly the best Bluesfest I’ve ever booked.”

It marks a move to its new permanent home at a tea tree farm.

Jack Johnson, who says the festival made him an overnight star, is flying out just to appear.

Others include Crowded House, The Fray, Buddy Guy, Roger Hodgson from Supertramp, Gipsy Kings, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, Jeff Beck, Lyle Lovett, The Swell Season, 10cc, Bebel Gilberto, Dr. John & the Lower 911, Bèla Fleck’s African Project Featuring Oumou Sangarè & band, Al Di Meola World Sinfonia, John Mayall, Taj Mahal, Galactic featuring Cyril Neville, Donavon Frankenreiter and Ozomatli.
