Copper Stolen From Shoreline

Shoreline Amphitheatre is less $400 in copper wiring but, as is the case with some thefts, the true cost was the damage the thieves caused in obtaining their loot.

Copper is rising because of the quake in Chile and, according to the Mountain View Daily News, someone broke into electrical boxes on wooden light poles in a Shoreline Amphitheatre parking lot during the last week of February.

Rising costs mean $1,000 to replace the copper and necessary repairs could total $30,000 for the California shed.
