Yes! Frampton!! Tour!!!
The Yes lineup features bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, Oliver Wakeman (son of Rick) on keyboards and Benoit David – tapped to sit in for an ailing Jon Anderson in 2008 – continues to handle lead vocals.
Of course, Frampton hardly needs an introduction, from Humble Pie to Frampton’s Camel to a successful solo career, the guitar slinger has been playing for audiences since he was 10 years old. Frampton also served as a consultant for the movie “Almost Famous,” the somewhat fictionalized account of Cameron Crowe’s teenage days as a scribe for Rolling Stone.
Frampton also has a new album – Thank You Mr. Churchill – coming out April 16.
The tour begins June 16 in Uncasville, Conn., at the Mohegan Sun Casino and travels June 18 to Bethel, N.Y., for a gig at the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts before heading to Upper Darby, Penn., and the Tower Theatre June 19.
Other stops include Meadow Lands, Penn. (June 20); Vienna, Va. (June 23); Blue Ash, Ohio (July 4); Albuquerque (July 7); Los Angeles (July 9) and Valley Center, Calif., at Harrah’s Rincon Open Sky Theatre (July 10) with more dates to be announced.
