Redbone Singer Dies
Original Redbone lead singer and guitarist Lolly Vegas died in his Los Angeles home following a long battle with lung cancer March 4.
After founding Redbone with his brother Patrrick in 1969, the group earned commercial success with several releases, but didn’t score a top 10 hit until the 1974 single “Come and Get Your Love,” written by Vegas.
Vegas suffered a stroke in 1996 that left him unable to continue touring with the band.
