Simon Leadley Dies
Sydney audio whiz Simon Leadley, 53, died following a battle with cancer.
He founded Trackdown Digital, a world-class studio in which to record orchestras, and audio production house Soundfirm at Fox Studios for editing film music.
He worked on major Australian movies, receiving a Special Achievement Award for “Moulin Rouge” from the Australian Screen Sound Guild awards and a MPSE Golden Reel Award in Los Angeles.
A problem solver with a golden ear for sounds and a Pro Tools expert, Leadley was a competition swimmer, snow skier and cyclist.
