EMI CEO Out
EMI recorded-music CEO Elio Leoni-Sceti has left the company after less than two years.
Leoni-Sceti, who plunged into the music industry despite a background in European consumer products, attempted to slash costs and make EMI more efficient, according to the Wall Street Journal. The cuts reportedly soured relations with several of EMI’s top clients.
“I thought it was time for me to move on,” he reportedly said in an e-mail to EMI employees.
Former CEO of UK broadcaster ITV PLC Charles Allen will fill Leoni-Sceti’s shoes, the paper said.
