Jimmy Barnes, Huey Lewis Cancel
Three major acts had to cancel Australian shows in one week.
Jimmy Barnes had four Rhythm and The Blues theatre shows (March 30 to April 6) through Frontier Touring Company and Premier Artists.
When some of the U.S. musicians who played on his chart-topping The Rhythms And The Blues album had scheduling issues, Barnes felt “that to proceed with substitute musicians wouldn’t be appropriate and would compromise the show and the spirit in which it was intended.”
Huey Lewis & the News’ “Still Workin’ For A Livin’” tour was postponed as they were delayed in the studio cutting a tribute to Stax Records, at Ardent Studios in Memphis. Promoter Andrew McManus said new dates would be scheduled.
German techno ambient maestro Dominik Eulberg fell off the Kompakt 3 tour with compatriot Tobias Becker citing “ill-health.”
