SF Commission OKs Masonic Plan

The San Francisco planning commission gave its blessing to Live Nation’s proposed long-term lease and expansion of the Nob Hill Masonic Center in a March 3 vote.

The project has been the target of an aggressive neighborhood campaign aiming to put the brakes on the plan.

Live Nation’s Lee Smith told the San Francisco Chronicle he is “relieved” by the vote, but it likely won’t be the last word on the controversy.

Neighborhood coalitions have promised to appeal the decision to the city/county board of supervisors.
