“Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour,” O’Brien tweeted, later saying, “We are now adding a second show in both NYC & Chicago. For that second show, I’ll be doing all Liza Minnelli songs.”

Here’s how the “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television” tour, sponsored by American Express, is shaping up so far. The first stop is Eugene, Ore., at the Hult Center For The Performing Arts April 12. Vancouver is next as O’Brien and his crew take over the Orpheum April 13. Then it’s onward to Spokane for a show at the INB Performing Arts Center April 16.

Stops also include Seattle (April 18), Los Angeles (April 24), Las Vegas (May 1), Boulder (May 9), Dallas (May 13), Chicago (May 19-20), Toronto (May 22) and New York City (June 1-2).

All in all, expect O’Brien to do 30 cities in 20 states over a two-month period as well as two Canadian provinces.

And yes, sidekick Andy Richter is on the tour.

“It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house,” O’Brien said.

Tickets for many markets went on sale almost as soon as O’Brien began tweeting tour dates. For more information, click here for TeamCoco.com.
