Brown’s death on Christmas Day, 2006 at the age of 73 was officially pronounced by doctors as being caused by a heart attack brought on by a case of pneumonia, but at least one daughter – LaRhonda Pettit – has clamed her famous daddy was brought down by foul play.

Now Pettit is saying her father’s corpse, which was sealed in a crypt located at another daughter’s home in South Carolina, is missing.

“My daddy’s body has disappeared,” Pettit said, according to London’s Daily Mirror. “I have no clue where it was taken, but I need to know where. I’m convinced his death was suspicious and I want the people responsible brought to justice.”

Pettit, who underwent a DNA analysis three years ago that concluded with a “99.99” percent certainty that she was Brown’s daughter, said the lack of an autopsy might have something to do with drugs.

“I cannot understand why one was never conducted, especially as his death seemed so mysterious,” Pettit said. “It was common knowledge daddy took illegal drugs until his death.”

But death due to drugs is just one possible explanation for Brown’s death according to his daughter. That is, other than being 73 years old while fighting off pneumonia, for Pettit also suspects violence may have played a part in her father’s demise. Brown was rumored to have buried some of his fortune on his 62-acre South Carolina estate.

“There were reports he may even have been beaten up before he died, perhaps by someone looking for money on his property,” Pettit said.
