Realities, a 5-song digital EP, is set for release April 13. In addition to the two EPS, fans can expect even more new music from the alternative band in 2010. The Spill Canvas is currently working on its fifth full-length studio album as the follow-up to 2007’s No Really, I’m Fine. The album is due out some time later this year on Reprise Records.

The band hits the road for its first show of 2010 on April 21 at The Hub in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The spring round of dates wraps up with May 23’s gig at Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis.

Additional stops include Bluebird Theater in Denver (April 23), El Corazon in Seattle (April 26), Slim’s in San Francisco (April 29), The Social in Orlando (May 11) and World Café Live in Philadelphia (May 17).

The tour will feature special guest Tyler Hilton along with opening acts AM Taxi and New Politics.

Fans interested in getting their hands on a physical copy of Realities can pre-order an exclusive, limited edition package which includes digital and physical editions of the EP along with a limited design T-shirt and an instant acoustic download of “Don’t Let Your Enemies Become Your Friends.” The acoustic song hails from January’s 3-song EP titled Abnormalities. The package is available for pre-order through the band’s Web site beginning April 1. It can also be purchased in person during the spring tour.
