AC/DC Sets Perth Record

AC/DC set an attendance record in Perth as the band wound up its Australian tour, playing to 100,000 over two nights at Subiaco Oval.

By this stage, AC/DC mania was at an all-time high in the city, with scalpers offering tickets for as much as $1,000.
Five fans were arrested inside the venue for drunkenness at the second show.

A man was hospitalised with stab wounds to his neck. Police said he had been with other ticketless friends outside the venue listening to the concert when they got into a brawl with a group of eight.
