Lilith Comes Clean

No more teasing, no more hinting as Lilith Fair announces dates, cities and venues.

Up until now the only apparent constants in the reemergence of the multi-artist traveling festival known as Lilith Fair was that founder Sarah McLachlan would appear on all dates as would the winner of the tour’s local talent search. For the past few weeks organizers have been teasing Lilith fans with announcements of who will appear and which cities will host the Live Nation-produced festival while holding back on hard data such as dates and venues.

Here’s how Lilith is shaping up so far – the Amphitheatre at Clark County located north of Portland, Ore., in Ridgefield, Wash., July 2; The Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Wash., July 3; First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park (Chicago) July 17; Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville (Indianapolis) July 20; Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto July 24; Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls (Cleveland) July 27; Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood in Atlanta Aug. 8 and the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach Aug. 10.

Artists announced as appearing on one or more Lilith dates include Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, The Bangles, Beth Orton, Brandi Carlile, Corinne Bailey Rae, Colbie Caillat, Emmylou Harris, Erykah Badu, Indigo Girls, Grace Potter And The Nocturnals, Heart, Martina McBride and Mary J. Blige with 11 artists expected to perform on each stop. Individual lineups for the dates listed above are available at the festival’s Web site.
