The Old Live National

The Murat Centre – the 100-year-old performance hall in Indianapolis – is expected to soon change its name.

Old National Bancorp and facility manager Live Nation are planning a press conference today to announce the name change to Old National Centre.

The outgoing message at the venue already uses the new name.

Old National, which is publicly traded, is the largest Indiana-based bank, although its market share in Indianapolis is fairly small, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Although few details are available, the deal is expected to be modest compared with the multimillion-dollar naming rights sponsorships of better times.

The Murat Centre includes the 300-capacity Corinthian Hall and the 200-capacity Great Hall.
