Let ‘BruceAir’ Take You There
It’s no secret that Dickinson has a life outside of fronting one of the world’s most popular heavy metal bands. The singer is a licensed commercial pilot who works for U.K. airline Astraeus and often flies the band to gigs in their own plane.
The Italy show is scheduled for August 17 at the historic Villa Manin, located in Italy’s Province of Udine. How historic? Napoleon Bonaparte used the villa as his headquarters when he was attempting to conquer all of Europe and it is where the height-challenged emperor signed the Treaty of Campo Formia, which changed the map of Europe during the last years of the 18th century.
The show marks Iron Maiden’s first Italy appearance since 2008.
The band is offering a special travel package aboard “BruceAir” – an Astraeus Airlines flight piloted by Dickinson that will originate from London’s Gatwick Airport. The package also covers hotel accommodations, local transportation and a “unique BruceAir Goodie Bag.”
Tickets for the Villa Manin concert go on sale Friday, March 19 at 9 a.m. GMT. For more information, click here for the Iron Maiden Web site.
