Jamfest Becomes Supafest

Non Stop Entertainment, the promoters of new Australian urban tour Jamfest, changed its name to The Supafest following a naming dispute.

The name change comes after a legal threat from Sydney promoter Justin Hemmes, whose Jam Music runs dance festival Good Vibrations, which sold 130,000 tickets last year.

Hemmes says the similarity of the name (and logo) could confuse consumers.

The Supafest’s April 12-18 run includes Akon, Kelly Rowland, Pitbull, Sean Paul, Jay Sean and Eve.

A second show in Sydney at Acer Arena was added after the first sold out.
