Fly With Vince Neil Aviation

Flying the friendly skies can be a drag from the cramped seats and awful food to hassles like long lines and rules about carry-on baggage. For fans looking for a more rock and roll journey through the clouds, Vince Neil’s recently launched luxury air charter service is the airline for you.

The Mötley Crüe frontman said he was inspired to launch his own aviation fleet after constantly being up in the air.

“I was always chartering planes. If it wasn’t to go out on tour, it was to go see family in San Francisco,” he told VegasDeluxe.com. “Now it’s difficult to drive our dogs back and forth, so we’d fly them with us rather than leaving them in a kennel. So I said after all this time, why don’t we get our own and make some money at the same time. Now when I’m not using them for work, other people can fly them for the rock and roll experience,” he said.

Who wants to get really, really high?

Vince Neil Aviation is headquartered in a private terminal at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport.

Neil’s fleet includes a Hawker 700, a Lear 35 and a Gulfstream.

“The planes are now all finished, they are all tricked out exactly how you think a rocker’s tour plane would be, complete with painted flames on the fuselage and the zebra-striped interior furnishings!” the singer told VegasDeluxe.com.

Neil explained that The Hawker 700 holds up to eight people and flies from Las Vegas to New York nonstop. The Lear 35 can fit seven people and makes nonstop flights to Los Angeles; San Diego; Phoenix, Ariz.; and Aspen, Colo., in addition to voyages into Mexico and Canada. Flights making the trek to the East Coast require one fuel stop.

The singer used the Gulfstream to make it to last month’s South American solo tour dates, with shows in Chile, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil. Neil had planned on using the charter fleet plane to fly out to Friday’s gig at Woodstock Plaza in Monterrey, Mexico, but he was forced to call off the show because of recent gang violence in the country, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

In addition to his own aviation company, Neil has his own tequila (Tres Rios), restaurant line (Feelgoods Bar and Grill in West Palm Beach, Fla., and Las Vegas) and two tattoo parlors/boutiques (Vince Neil Ink on the Vegas strip as well as in the Rio Hotel and Casino).

Neil’s new solo album, Tattoos & Tequila, is set for release in May. The album’s first single, of the same name, will be available April 6. He has a handful of upcoming North American solo shows booked through Oct. 31’s gig at Snoqualmie Casino in Washington.

In August, Mötley Crüe plays Sonisphere Festival at Stora Skuggan in Stockholm, Sweden.
