The 3D concert experience, which was filmed in October 2009 in the Southern California desert in front of 40,000 adoring fans, officially opens April 30 for a one-week run.

But lucky Phish-heads in nine cities – Boston; Burlington, VT.; Chicago; Denver; Houston; Los Angeles; New York City; Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; and Washington, D.C. – will get a chance to take in a preview screening on April 20.

Tickets for the premiere screenings go on sale tomorrow morning (March 26), with details available at Phish3Dmovie.com.

Details on tickets for the official release of the movie, which includes a “very limited number of seats,” will also be made available in the near future on the site.

Phish kicks off a massive summer tour June 11 at Chicago’s Toyota Park. An online ticket request period is underway at Phish.Portals.MusicToday.com, but ends tomorrow night at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

General ticket sales for the trek begin April 2.
