After kicking butt at this year’s edition of SXSW with eight shows in three days, the Los Angeles-based, Cambodian rock/psychedelic band will jump back on stage May 1with a performance at Bergenfest in Bergen, Norway.

The world tour will then continue with a few more European dates: May 3’s show at Berns Salonger in Stockholm, May 4’s gig at Atomic Club in Munich and a May 5 performance at Salon in Instanbul.

The band then heads for Vietnam, playing C.A.M.A. Club in Hanoi, followed by a May 15 performance at The Cellar At Grappas in Hong Kong.

The tour will wraps back in the states with shows in Chicago (May 21), Athens, Ohio (May 22) and Costa Mesa, Calif. (May 29).

“I never dreamed when we started Dengue Fever that we’d be in a situation where we could book a tour that would take us from Norway via Turkey and end up in China,” said Dengue Fever vocalist Chhom Nimol. “We are so happy to play dates for the first time in Vietnam and Hong Kong while being able to return to Europe yet again. We have amazing fans in Scandinavia, Germany and Turkey so it’s great to come back to our second home. I just hope there are no flight delays!”

In September Dengue Fever is pegged to hit the U.K. festival circuit with performances at Bestival at Robin Hill Country Park in Isle Of Wight (Sept. 10-12) and End Of The Road Festival at Larmer Tree Gardens in Salisbury (Sept. 10-12).

The band is currently hard at work writing new material for their next release.
