The tour is a follow-up to last year’s 11-date trek, which marked the actor/comedian’s first major comedy tour in nearly 12 years.

“Rescue Me Comedy Tour 2” kicks off May 22 at Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., with dates (including venues) booked through June 19’s show at The Chicago Theatre.

Leary will also be sharing his not-so-politically-correct wit with fans at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. (June 5), Humphrey’s Concerts By The Bay in San Diego (June 8), The Joint in Las Vegas (June 12) and The State Theatre in Minneapolis (June 15).

Shows are also set (currently without venues) for Washington D.C. (June 2), Los Angeles (June10) and New York (June 26-27).

The second edition of the “Rescue Me Comedy Tour” will once again feature performances from Leary’s “Rescue Me” castmates Lenny Clarke and Adam Ferrara as well as musical guests The Enablers featuring the Rehab Horns.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Leary Firefighters Foundation, which has raised millions to provide funding and equipment to fire departments in Massachusetts, New York and New Orleans.

The sixth season of “Rescue Me” is set to return to FX later this year, according to TVGuide.com. The series, which revolves around the lives of a group of firefighters living in post-9/11 New York City, is set to conclude in September 2011, with the final episode of the seventh season coinciding with the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
