Calling All Juddheads

Wynonna and her mom Naomi have promised to join forces for one last tour but before they jump on the road The Judds need your help coming up with a catchy name for the tour.

In February Wynonna announced on CBS’ “The Early Show Saturday Edition” that The Judds would be teaming up for a final tour this year. The upcoming trek will be The Judds first major tour in 10 years.

Dates for the final tour have not yet been announced but in the meantime, The Judds are inviting fans to enter the “Name That Tour” contest.

“We have shared so many memorable moments with our fans over the last 26 years and we know that we would not be here without their love and support,” The Judds said in a joint statement. “They are our family of choice and this tour is truly a family affair. So, it just felt right to ask them to help us name the tour. After all, they are the reason we are embarking on this journey together one last tour.”

To enter the contest, fans simply have to complete an entry form along with a single tour name at www.Wynonna.com. Juddheads have until April 23 at 11:59 CST to get in their entries. Entries will be judged on “originality, creativity, and the ability to capture the scope of this history-making event.” The Judds have offered fans the following tip – “Keep it authentic!”

Entries are limited to one per person. If more than one person submits the same tour name, the first entry received will be counted and all other entries with the same tour name will be void. Wynonna and Naomi are judging the contest with the winning entry and final tour name announced in June.

In addition to bragging rights, the winner will also receive a mention in the 2010 Commemorative Judds Tour Book, a personal “thank you” video message from The Judds and $500 in tour merchandise.

Along with a final tour, the country music duo told CBS they are also working on new music for a fall release. Between 1983-1990 The Judds released six full-length studio albums in addition to compilations, Christmas and live albums. The duo’s most recent release was a four-song EP called Big Bang Boogie which was included as a bonus EP along with Wynonna’s 2000 solo album New Day Dawning.
