Harley Evans was appointed to the newly created commercial director role at moshtix, reporting to GM Adam McArthur.

He was GM at Global Scene. Evans began his career in New Zealand with eight years at Ticketek. In the UK he was head of ticketing and then head of business operations for the London-based Fulham Football Club. He also spent six months at Melbourne-based concert promoter Dainty Consolidated Entertainment as executive director of touring.

At a media conference in Bogota, Colombia, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich announced the band would tour downunder in November.

Powderfinger announced it will split after the band’s “Sunsets” farewell tour later in the year. Jet will join for most dates.
