Batusis’ run through the U.K., which was supposed to begin May 3 in Glasgow, is now on hold as the band tries to reschedule the tour.

Meanwhile, the band has plenty of new U.S. dates, beginning in Memphis at the Hi-Tone Café July 15, followed by St. Louis at Off Broadway July 16 and Chicago at Reggie’s Rock Club July 17.

You can also catch the band in lovely Hamtramck, Mich., at Small’s July 18; Toronto’s Opera House July 20; Cleveland at Beachland Ballroom & Tavern July 21; NYC at Fillmore at New York Irving Plaza July 23; Long Branch, N.J., at Brighton Bar July 24; Philadelphia at M Room July 25; Erie, Pa., at Crooked I July 27; Baltimore at Bourbon Street July 28 and Charlotte at Tremont Music Hall July 30.

But you needn’t wait for the tour to get a taste of Bastusis. A four-song EP marking the band’s debut lands in stores May 4. Produced by former Wilco drummer Ken Coomer, songs on the EP are “Big Cat Stomp,” “What You Lack In Brains,” “Bury You Alive” and “Blues Theme.” As you can probably surmise from the song titles, cocktail music this ain’t.
