Rihanna & Her Rib Are OK

Rihanna is one tough cookie. Despite being briefly hospitalized after Monday’s performance in Switzerland, the singer still made it to her show in France the following evening.

After rocking Hallenstadion Zurich, Rihanna checked into a private clinic at midnight and was then released around 3 a.m., according to MTV UK.

“She had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn’t,” a representative for the singer said in a statement. “All is OK and the tour is going great.”

CNN’s Marquee Blog noted that the rep “did not say if the injury was suffered during a show.”

Rihanna is sticking around France for tonight’s gig at Le Dome in Marseille. The European tour then takes the 22-year-old pop star to Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain in addition to a couple more dates in France and Switzerland.

In July Rihanna joins forces with Ke$ha for the “Last Girl on Earth” tour. The North American trek begins July 2 at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Wash., with dates booked through Aug. 25’s show at United Center in Chicago.
