More Testing For Michaels

Bret Michaels faces more testing this week as the Poison frontman remains in intensive care after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

Michaels was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance late Thursday evening after complaining of a severe headache. That’s when doctors examining Michaels discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

Doctors expect to report on Michaels’ condition later this week.

Apparently it was the mother of all headaches that sent Michaels to the hospital. The singer reportedly described the ailment “like [getting] hit with a baseball bat over and over again,” according to People, citing an undisclosed source.

A posting on Michaels’ official website says doctors will conduct further tests to help determine the location of the bleeding.

“Please remember Bret is, and always has been, a fighter and survivor and is under the best medical care possible,” the post added.

This is the second time the 47-year-old Michaels, a diabetic, has been hospitalized this month. The singer was in the midst of a solo tour when he complained of flu-like symptoms resulting in a trip to a San Antonio hospital where doctors performed an emergency appendectomy.
