LN Australia By June

Live Nation’s Australian operations should be rolling by June.

Luke Hede, LN’s new VP of Pacific Rim promotions, has to relocate to Melbourne from the company’s Hong Kong base.

Roger Field, VP of promotions for Australia and NZ, has to finish off his commitments with tour promoter Michael Coppel Presents.

The Australian media has been speculating as to which major international act will launch the new company.

Of the names suggested, Pollstar’s investigations found that Jay-Z’s schedule would not allow a visit downunder. Metallica, which announced it will be in Australia in November, has already signed to another promoter.

Muse is negotiating with a number of firms and U2 is reportedly already promised to a rival promoter.
