Maroon 5’s Hands-On Approach

The new Maroon 5 album – “Hands All Over” – won’t hit stores until September, but you can see the band on tour this summer beginning on the East Coast at the end of July.

The new album is helmed by star producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, known for his work on some of rock’s finest albums, including discs by AC/DC, The Cars and Def Leppard. Lange had heard the band was writing material for what would be the group’s third album, and immediately offered his services.

“We didn’t even talk to anyone else,” Maroon 5’s Adam Levine said. “Mutt is undeniably one of the most success producers who’s ever lived.”

It just isn’t frontman Levine singing Lange’s praises.

“Mutt really helped us play to the best of our ability,” said keyboardist Jesse Carmichael. “And it drove us to be bigger and better than ever.”
