Waters Adds More ‘Wall’ Dates

Build it and they will come goes the ol’ movie line, and Roger Waters has promised to build more “walls” on his upcoming tour.

Waters is commemorating the 30th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s historic tour supporting The Wall by performing the classic album in its entirety on his upcoming Live Nation-produced fall outing. Tickets went on sale yesterday and response was so incredibly positive that the concert company added 12 shows to the schedule.

Tickets for newly added shows in Toronto, Boston, Montreal, Fort Lauderdale, San Jose, New York City, Uniondale, N.Y., and E. Rutherford, N.J., went up yesterday. A newly added Philadelphia date goes on sale May 14 and extra shows in Los Angeles, Chicago and Anaheim go on sale May 17.

When you add the original 1980-81 tour into the equation, The Wall has been performed in its entirety by Pink Floyd and/or Rogers only 31 times since its 1979 release. The most famous presentation was the all-star event that took place July 21, 1990, in Berlin only months after the fall of the infamous real life wall that divided the German city for 28 years.
