Apollo’s Fame Walk
Some of the artists who’ve graced the stage at the Apollo Theater in New York City will now grace the sidewalks in front of the historic Harlem venue.
The Apollo Theater, in its 75th year, recently began the installation of a series of sidewalk plaques for the venue’s new Walk of Fame.
Smokey Robinson, Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Little Richard, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Michael Jackson will be some of the first artists honored on the walk.
