Powderfinger Farewell Continues To Sell Out

Popular Australian band Powderfinger continued to expand its Sunsets Farewell tour and fans kept snapping them up.

Promoters Secret Service and Village Sounds added five shows May 17 and received an immediate response.

The last of the band’s five farewells in hometown Brisbane sold out in 60 seconds.

The tour now has shifted 250,000 tickets, with 22 of its 34 dates sold out.

The band says it will not extend the tour past Nov. 13.

Jet, The Vines and You Am I join Powderfinger at different stops.

Scalpers are asking up to $305 for $108 tickets.

Ticketmaster was trying to explain why a round of tickets were listed on eBay a day before going on sale.
