The Fred Reorganized

Peachtree City, Ga., has consolidated its tourism and venue operations at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, which could reportedly save the city up to $100,000 per year.

The new setup will see the city’s visitor center operated immediately adjacent to the venue, and two full-time positions at the city council and tourism association eliminated, according to the Citizen.

The Fred’s director Nancy Price will take on an additional title as executive director of the Tourism Association.

Price told the paper she plans to cut summer concerts from 20 to six, which should leave plenty of time to scout additional events and tourism opportunities for the venue.
