Art4Life Strikes “Glee” Gold

The annual evening of live art, music and dance – which was started by L.A. dancer and choreographer Gina Starbuck (“Wicked”) as a tribute to her late father in 2007 – will take place May 31 at Level 3 night club, located on the third level of the Hollywood and Highland complex.

The night kicks off with a pre-show event hosted by “Secret Life of an American Teen” star Francia Raisi, who will lead a celebration of teen talent in the City of Angels.

Next up is a set by singer/songwriter John West, who will perform urban-acoustic jams from his latest EP Paper Plates.

You thought I’d forgotten about “Glee,” didn’t you? Nope.

Host for the main event is “Glee” queen of air-headedness, Heather Morris (Brittany), who will lead the rest of the evening’s jam-packed entertainment schedule. Of course, since lots of surprise guests have dropped by in previous years to hang out – and even perform a little – the evening is certain to be filled with unexpected treats. (Hmm, did anyone else notice that Art4Life takes place the same day the “Glee” cast gets back to town from the “Glee Live!” tour?”)

Since no benefit would be complete without lots of goodies, silent auction items include dance classes with “Dancing with the Stars” pros Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya, autographed Adam Lambert and Debbie Reynolds memorabilia, a selection of NappyTabs hip-hop inspired urban dancewear designed by “So You Think You Can Dance” choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo, celebrity facials, haircuts, massages and tons of other great items.
