The fun kicks off Sunday night, with a performance by the lounge-a-rific Richard Cheese. Cheese will take those in attendance on a three-decade ride through the club’s musical history by putting his own, well, cheesy spin on songs by bands who’ve played there.

Tickets for the May 30 show, which begins at 6:30 p.m., are available at the venue’s box office.

Taking full advantage of the holiday weekend, the folks at the 9:30 are offering a free concert on Monday that will feature a top-secret reunion of artists who’ve “been instrumental to the 9:30 Club’s history, those considered friends and family to the club.”

Your host for the evening is none other than D.C. native Henry Rollins.

Tickets for the May 31 show will be offered to members of the 9:30 Club Forum (an online discussion group), subscribers to Volume (the club’s print newsletter) and subscribers to the venue’s email list by lottery.

A very limited number of additional tickets will be made available – first come, first served – on the day of the show.
