Arcade Fire Touring ‘The Suburbs’
The U.S. tour begins Aug. 1 at Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, with shows booked through an Aug. 11 gig at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Atlanta.
Additional stops include Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia (Aug. 2), Madison Square Garden in New York (Aug. 4), Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. (Aug. 6) and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. (Aug. 9).
Fans can also catch the indie rock Canadian band at this year’s edition of Lollapalooza Aug. 8 at Grant Park in Chicago.
Spoon will be joining Arcade Fire as support in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Columbia, Md.
Arcade Fire, which formed in Montreal, Quebec, back in 2003, is playing two intimate shows at Theater Granada in Sherbrooke, Ontario (June 7-8), followed by performances at Quebec City Summer Festival in Quebec (July 12), Ottawa Bluesfest at Lebreton Flats Park in Ottawa, Ontario (July 13), and Osheaga Festival at Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal (July 31).
The band is also making the rounds at the European summer festival circuit including slots at Hovefestival in Arendal, Norway (July 2), Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium (July 4), Oxegen Festival in Naas, Ireland (July 9) Leeds Festival at Bramham Park in the U.K. (Aug. 27), Reading Festival at Richfield Avenue in the U.K. (Aug. 28) and Rock En Seine in Paris (Aug. 29).

Arcade Fire is touring in support of its third studio album, The Suburbs. The album, the follow-up to 2007’s Neon Bible, is set for release Aug. 2 in the U.K. and Aug. 3 in North America. The album is available for pre-order through the band’s website. All pre-orders include a free digital download of the singles “The Suburbs” and “Month of May,” which are also available for purchase through the website.
Pre-sale tickets are available now through Arcade Fire’s website. Public on-sale for the U.S. dates begins Friday, June 4. Arcade Fire is donating $1 from every ticket sold to Partners In Health, an organization helping fight disease and poverty in impoverished communities around the world.
