Mayer Shuts Down European Tour

In yet another example that even the best laid plans often go awry, a nasty bug forces John Mayer to cancel the remaining dates on his European tour.

Mayer’s reps have not said what’s ailing the artist. Always a popular concert draw, Mayer had already performed in front of a sold-out Copenhagen audience when illness forced him to cancel the second show in Denmark’s capital city as well as the rest of the tour.

“Regrettably, the illness has caused his remaining European shows scheduled through this week to be canceled as well (Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester). Ticket holders should apply for refund from point of purchase. Mayer is returning home to the States and a full recovery is expected under a doctor’s supervision.”
