Harris is helming an all-star production of Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Rent” at the famed Los Angeles Venue.

The production will have three performances: August 6-7 at 8:30 p.m. and August 8 at 7:30 p.m.

The cast for the show, which is making its debut at the Bowl, includes Nicole Scherzinger (as Maureen), Wayne Brady (as Tom Collins), Vanessa Hudgens, Skylar Astin (as Mark), Telly Leung (as Angel), Collins Pennie (as Benny), Tracie Thoms (reprising her role as Joanne from the film version of the musical), Aaron Tveit (as Roger)and the vocalist who made the “Rent” tune “Seasons of Love” famous, Gwen Stewart.

Harris, who is making his stage directorial debut with this production, said that Scherzinger was a welcome addition to the cast – sort of.

“Nicole had a wonderful audition – she was well prepared, sang beautifully, and had us all laughing,” he explained. “If only she was somewhat attractive and didn’t have two left feet…”

Tickets for “Rent” at the Hollywood Bowl are available through the usual suspects, as well as online at HollywoodBowl.com, by phone or at the venue box office.
