The free show, which is being presented by the USO, takes place at Iron Horse Park in Ft. Carson, Colo. The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. and are open to the public.

“When we realized we were passing through the area on our way to Salt Lake City, we thought, ‘What a great chance to give Colorado a little taste of what they will be seeing at the Country Throwdown on Sunday,’” says tour producer Kevin Lyman.

The show features Country Throwdown Tour Bluebird Café artists Cory Branan, Dave Pahanish, Ashley Ray, Brad Tursi, Heather Morgan and Troy Olsen as well as the Tyler Reeve Band.

“What an absolute honor it is to have these great entertainers perform for our service men and women and their families here at Fort Carson,” says Center Manager of the USO Fort Carson Phil Martinez. “We are grateful and excited to show these amazing entertainers some military hospitality from the best hometown in the Army.”

Country Throwdown kicked off May 14 at Ford Amphitheatre @ State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Fla., and runs through June 20 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif.

The festival is being produced by Warped Tour promoters 4 FINI, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink and promoted by Live Nation. The traveling country festival includes three stages (a main and two side stages) as well as the Bluebird Café Tent, which features nine singer/songwriters in an intimate setting during the day and on a special stage in between main stage set changes at night.

The tour’s headliners include Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Little Big Town and Jack Ingram.  Along with the Tyler Reeve Band, the fest also features Eric Church, The Lost Trailers, the Eli Young Band, Heidi Newfield, Jonathan Singleton & The Grove and Emily West.

On Saturday the Country Throwdown stops at Usana Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, followed by Sunday’s event at Comfort Dental Amphitheatre in Englewood, Colo. The fest is also making stops in Bakersfield, Calif., as well as Irvine, Calif.
