ESPN Zones Closing

The Walt Disney Co. announced June 9 it will shutter five ESPN Zone restaurants but the stores at L.A. Live in Los Angeles and in Anaheim near Disneyland will remain open.

ESPN Zones in Baltimore, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C., are scheduled to close June 16 because of the down economy.

The sports bar and restaurant chain, originally opened in 1998, closed stores in Atlanta and Denver last year.
