Jackson Out, Lambert Up and Walker In At Country Jam

Get out your scorecards and sharpen up those pencils. Four-day country music festival Country Jam USA, taking place near Grand Junction, Colo., June 24-27, has made a few changes in its lineup.

The first change is all about Alan Jackson as the country music festival announces Jackson will not headline the June 26 date as previously announced. Taking his place is Miranda Lambert who was previously scheduled to appear on the Country Jam stage right before Jackson but now occupies the evening’s closing slot.

Clay Walker has been added to the festival’s June 26 lineup.

While no reason was given for the change, organizers said Jackson will perform at next year’s Country Jam USA on June 25, 2011.

Because of the change of plans, ticket holders planning on seeing Jackson at this year’s Country Jam have more than one option.

One-day general admission tickets for Country Jam USA are not for specific days and ticket holders can simply go another day if they choose and no exchanging is necessary.

However, VIP and reserved-seating tickets are day-specific and holders may exchange their ducats for another day.

You can also exchange this year’s tickets for next year’s Country Jam while another option is requesting a refund.

Perhaps the best option is just go to the show on June 26 and look forward to seeing Jackson at next year’s Country Jam USA. After all, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday. For more info, click here for the festival’s website.
